Prayer for the Promise: Bringing Heaven to Earth

Prayer for the Promise: Bringing Heaven to Earth

Faith doesn’t pray for the provision which is obvious or visible; it prays based on what the Lord is showing us in Heaven. Faith is standing for Heaven to manifest itself on earth, based on what we see IN Heaven. And the way we see what is in Heaven is by seeking the face of the Lord of Heaven. We gaze upon, wait for, and receive from Jesus in prayer. As we seek Him, He shows us what is in Heaven (His Will) and then we agree with Heaven to bring it down to earth. Imagine, bringing Heaven to earth.

Bringing Heaven to Earth

Bringing Heaven to Earth
We’re not to pray for what we see on earth, but rather what we see in Heaven. We’re not to pray for what is in the realm of probability or even possibility. That’s not prayer, that’s just words. Hurling words towards the heavens only results in frustration and disappointment. Relationally I can express my heart to the Father – He loves it – but this isn’t prayer. The goal of prayer is to see Heaven come to earth.

It’s not faith to pray for the realm of probability or possibility. I don’t get a pass to do my own will in my own strength just because I’m verbally expressing it skyward and calling it prayer. And I’m not to look for provision in that which is obvious or visible—this isn’t faith. Hebrews is clear that it’s impossible to please God without faith, so how could my prayers without faith bring Him pleasure? They don’t.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NLT

Looking at the Promise

Looking at the Promise
Years back the Lord gave me a word for someone: “Don’t look at what is happening, look at what I am doing!” And this post on prayer is specifically related to this. Perfectly related! Looking at what is happening involves me in the world. It is a limited, shortsighted view of circumstances which takes NO faith to perform. Looking at what is happening isn’t looking at WHO is happening.

An amazing way I am finding out how to do this is by praising the promise. I like this term: praise the promise. Rather than praying forth a promise, we’re praising the Promise forth. We literally stand in the gratitude of thanks for what God wants to bring to earth through His Life. We see, agree, and then receive that which is in Heaven.

An Example of Praising the Promise

An Example of Praising the Promise
He Himself carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we would be dead to sin and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from His wounding.

1 Peter 2:24 TPT

Recently we were praying for Martha. Joan Wentzel and I received the word about instant healing. The scripture Joan got was 1 Peter 2:24 in the Passion Translation, which was a confirmation of the word I got—INSTANT. Well, instant wasn’t immediately instant. After we prayed she felt better, but later that evening her symptoms returned. So I could have questioned, did we hear incorrectly or did we lead out in presumption? I don’t believe so. What was required was to praise the promise. Faith stands in evidence of things unseen.

Now faith means putting our full confidence in the things we hope for, it means being certain of things we cannot see.
Hebrews 11:1 Phillips

That Which is Heaven to Earth

That Which is Heaven to Earth
We saw what was in Heaven. “Instant healing” was in Heaven, and we had to come into the agreement with what God wanted to do. We had to see and then exercise our faith in Him. At this point we didn’t have to ask for we saw in heaven, we just had to praise Him for what was in heaven. God wanted to manifest something on the earth that was in heaven and now He had two witnesses to see, agree and receive it. This is prayer and seeing Heaven come to earth.

OH, and Martha was instantly healed, today! Rejoicing in the reality of Heaven to earth.

Hallelujah! So happy Martha is better. “Don’t look at what’s happening, Look at what I’m doing” I remember when you wrote that–I copied it in my journal, and the Lord directs me back to that every now and then. I like what you’re saying. The Lord has been speaking somewhat the same word to me. Thank you for confirmation. Love you all. Wanda

I love when He speaks in unison. He masterfully orchestrates messages through His children so everyone just keeps getting richer and richer with HIM. I am so glad this spoke to you. I really liked it. Love you Wanda! ?
