Victory Over Evil Is an Absolute Fact

Print

John wrote a post about the witches who plan to meet and cast spells on our president to neutralize him. It all sounds so ominous and strong. So unsettling.

Well, the facts will disarm their whole scheme with just two sentences, just two FACTS of the Truth in Christ!

Victory Over Evil the Absolute Fact that God is Sovereign Over ALL Authority

It Is Absolute Fact that God is Sovereign Over ALL Authority Victory Over Evil
First of all, Romans 13:1-2.

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.

So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.

The First ABSOLUTE Fact is that God sets up presidents and takes down kings. He is in control of all the leaders of all the nations. From beginning to end, the Bible is infinitely clear about this. Anything less and He would not be God!

Mystery, yes. But fact nevertheless! To oppose that is to get yourself in big trouble with the One Who does rule.

Watchman Nee wrote many powerful statements about this issue. “Authority is God’s Choice, Not Man’s Attainment.”

Daniel served and lived under one of the cruelest kings of all time, Nebuchadnezzar, yet he never opposed him in any way. He believed that God had enthroned him. Daniel dealt with God as God. So he was promoted to second in command of Babylon.

Joseph was trapped under Pharaoh by his brothers’ hate. Yet he served faithfully until he was promoted to the second in command of the kingdom of Egypt. Joseph believed that God put him in Egypt.

Those who understand that God is actually God, and He chooses our leaders, enjoy a place of favor and safety because of their faith in God’s sovereignty.

It Is Absolute Fact that Satan Is Defeated

It Is Absolute Fact that Satan Is Defeated Victory Over Evil
The Second Absolute Fact is this: Jesus Christ utterly disarmed, defeated, rendered powerless, drove out Satan.

By the Cross of Jesus Christ, Satan was destroyed.

Hebrews 2:14
…by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death – that is the devil.

Destroy in the Greek means “to cause to cease to exist, to cause to become nothing, to put an end to.”

John 12:14
Now the prince of this world will be driven out.

The ‘now’ meant the day of the Cross. So now it is past tense that Satan was driven out.

‘Driven out’ in the Greek means “the idea of force, thrust, drive out.”

1 John 3:8
the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

The power of the devil is destroyed and the very works of the devil are destroyed! Christ’s victory is complete and it is finished. How amazing!

Oh, may we SEE how completely Satan was defeated and dismissed.

The Enemy was driven out, destroyed and became nothing. Today Satan is powerless, inactive, useless, ineffective.

Why then does the devil appear so powerful? Because most of Christianity believes the appearance of things rather than the Word of God.

It is in our hands as born-again believers to enforce the victory of Christ. How? By simply believing, declaring, and standing.

Jesus is Lord. Satan is defeated. Say that, believe that, and great power from on high strikes the domain of Satan and frees the world.

We have been given the responsibility, the power and the privilege to stand for the absolute triumph of Christ. We stand. We don’t fight, we take up the Victory of Christ and the reality of His Lordship over the whole world.

Victory Over Evil Is an Absolute Fact

Victory Over Evil Is an Absolute Fact
We, His followers, have been given an unparalleled power!

Luke 10:19 AMPC
Behold! I have given you authority and power
to trample upon serpents and scorpions,
and [physical and mental strength and ability]
over all the power that the enemy [possesses];
and nothing shall in any way harm you.

If we believed this, we would exercise the incredible, unlimited power given to us to stand for Christ’s victory over evil and Satan.

Behind the witchcraft and cursing, behind the hate and rebellion, there is only one instigator of mankind – one entity, just one rebel and one trouble maker. It is merely Satan we contend with, and he is done for, so it is not a fight. The fight is FAITH in the Absolute victory of Christ.

Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious].  So stand firm and hold your ground…

We believe. We stand.
“And nothing will in any wise harm us.”
OR the president God elected!

“We stand. We don’t fight . . . ” Oh, I wish I could have received this truth years ago (just the opposite in my circles at the time} — so much wasted time and effort fighting and not focused on the absolute victory of Christ.
Thank you for this.
Love you, Martha.

In the process of learning, when arguments, strength, most means became empty… His finished work is becoming so real, desired and finally believed after real encounters with the liar where only standing calmly in His word has diminished him and given a path to FRESH HOPE

How I appreciate Your vision, understanding and given gift to communicate such eternal truth.

Oh, enthroned Lord help us to believe and stand in the reality of such victory you earned and shared with us.

Love

AMEN MARTHA,
Those 3 words you wrote are so vital: BELIEVE, DECLARE, and STAND.
BELIEVE Jesus, DECLARE His Word, and STAND in unwavering anticipation of HIM!
FAITH comes by hearing Jesus; UNBELIEF comes by hearing a lie. The place where we set our HOPE has our EAR. “BELIEVE” Jesus!

Martha, thank you for this wonderfully encouraging reminder. I was so struck by those words: “most of Christianity believes the appearance of things rather than the Word of God.” This was such a wake up call to see that our minds are in the wrong place! What a word of encouragement as we see the prevalence of evil and injustice. This message reminded me of a statement I recently heard, “the dogs bark, but the caravan moves on”. Let the enemy do his best to hurl his offences and intimidate; he can never thwart or hinder the purposes of God… Read more »
