Science without God

Science without God is nothing but our attempt to figure out our world and its principles without involving the One who created it. It would be comical if it weren’t so tragic.

All Science Without God

Science without God
When we attempt to reason an explanation without involving the Source, we’ll come up with the folly that we have bested God. All science without God is just the exaltation of self above the knowledge of God. And even when we attempt to exclude God from our educated conclusions, the fact remains, actual knowledge comes only from God. The wisdom we worked so hard to create has only been given and will be used at His bidding. Sure there’s delusion science, but true understanding only comes from God’s revealing. And though science without God tries to disprove He exists, it still remains limited in scope by His giving. All true scientific data points to God even if the scientist concludes there is no God. Science without God is like a precocious child saying, “I will do it by myself, thank you!” It’s remarkable that the brilliance given to the scientists by their Creator is used in an attempt to disprove His existence.

Science with God

On the other hand, science that seeks God in its findings is genius. Science with God as Source bows to Him as Creator of all. This Science becomes the increase of our knowledge and revelation of God, and then delves into the fascination with God’s mysteries. The subsequent discoveries bear the mark of His blessing. He gives the scientist the gifts of understanding with an application to benefit humanity. We enter into the wonder of His great creation – an amazing plan. The discovery of His intricacies in the minute and hidden becomes mesmerizing. The expanse and depth of everything He has created provides unending exploration and ceaseless awe.

Science with God can go beyond lifeless research and increase our admiration and love of God Himself. In this case, science then explodes into the infinite before the face of His expansiveness. Science that looks to God as Source unites factual knowledge with the experience of knowing Him in an ever-increasing way. He becomes greater and greater as we discover Him more and more.

True science should ever be diminishing in its own eyes, because “to know” shows just how little we really do know. The increase of our knowing proves that we’re only scratching the surface of the knowledge of our great God and His creation. Science with God proves John 3:30, while science without God emphasizes Romans 8:5-8.

He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]
John 3:30 AMP

The carnal attitude sees no further than natural things. But the spiritual attitude reaches out after the things of the spirit. The former attitude means, bluntly, death: the latter means life and inward peace. And this is only to be expected, for the carnal attitude is inevitably opposed to the purpose of God, and neither can nor will follow His laws for living. Men who hold this attitude cannot possibly please God.
Romans 8:5-8 Phillips

Breadcrumbs to God

Creation and its every nuance are like breadcrumbs leading to our Creator. In every detail of every molecule there are fingerprints of our God pointing us back to Him as Source. And what do these prints say? “I love you, come discover and know ME! Let Me reveal to you things you do not know, things so awe-inspiring that they will take your breath away. I want you to know ME!”

Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.
Jeremiah 33:3 HCSB

If a scientist will live in wonder, he will discover the mystery of everything.

Many years ago I watched a ‘NOVA’ pbs program on the University of Kentucky’s discovery of a ‘dark matter’ with our six year old son. When the research students and professors were excitedly talking about the possibilities and ramifications of what this could mean to the scientific community, my son turned to turned to me and said, ‘When I grow up I guess I’ll be a scientiest.’ “Why?” I asked.
‘To explain to the other scientists that this matter stuff they can’t figure out is just the Holy Spirit.’

Let the little children come unto Him…

This is an excellent post John. The Spirit has me continuing to look at the two trees: the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. I see an application in your article today. Thank you. I am going to share it with my grandchildren.

Indeed! There are huge footprints of God stepping into this very Universe that science itself gives testimony of. I will mention just three of them: 1) Energy/matter behaviour duality: Any given thing existing (matter/energy, we ourselves included) acts as a “wave” UNTIL a detector or an eye SEES it. THEN (and ONLY THEN), the wave miraclously (literally) becames a PARTICLE (for that detector/EYE only), and that detector/EYE is able to INTERACT with it. This means a very simple thing for you to understand it. EVERYTHING exists (we included) in a kind of miraclous DREAM (at an uncontrollable/misterious level) until we… Read more »
