The Truth is Jesus, Who is the Word, Who is a Sword. A sword cuts and slices, dividing asunder. A sword is a weapon and a literal instrument of separation. And humanity isn’t fond of separation, unless we’re in charge of it. Truth will always be a sword, and a catalyst for separation.
From Martha’s Message of the Month, “The Factual and the Actual:”
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:1-4 NASB“There were three separations: light from dark, sky from water, and land from the seas. Only when that was complete, only when there was separation did God declare that it was good.
“God’s [way] is to take the chaos and make order. To take the barren and make fruit. To take weakness and make power. To take death and give life.
“The whole basis of creation is separation. One of the greatest themes of the scripture, right through to the last verse, is the issue of separation. It’s a subject we avoid. It’s painful. It’s drastic. It’s sort of black and white in the scriptures. Humanity is such a chaotic force; it’s as chaotic as it has ever been. In order for there to be chaos, there has to be the mixture of dark and light. So much today, including that which is in the church, is mixture and it is that mixture the Holy Spirit is zealous and anxious to solve and resolve in the Body of Christ.
“Mixture is going to be more dangerous than ever before because mixture will keep us outside of the righteousness of God, and therefore outside of the protection of God and the provision of God.”
Truth is an invading force, an unstoppable catalyst for change, and a natural enemy of every delusion, fantasy, lie, and unreality. That sounds exhausting, no? And yet there’s nothing exhausting or life-sapping in Truth. Deception is exhausting. Lies take a great deal of time and effort because they have to continually spin and weave to maintain their un-Reality. Truth simply is. There’s no effort in Truth, no fear or doubt, no frenzy or rage. Truth is Jesus, Who is the Prince of Peace. He simply is Reality.
Separation hurts. It can be intensely painful, because it really is the death-throes of the enemy. The flesh is screaming because it’s being crucified. At the very least, Truth will separate us from our delusions – about ourselves, about others, about God – and suddenly it’s a whole new world. Even the best changes are difficult for me, and receiving Truth often feels like the ground will never feel solid beneath my feet again, but the exact opposite happens.
To receive the Truth is to know Peace for the very first time in that part of your life—or your life in total, depending upon the Truth God’s brought you. Lies are chaotic and high-maintenance and they suck the life out of you because they have none of their own. Like soul parasites, they drink your blood and harass your nerves and in return they provide you with hallucinations. Truth brings healing and Life and Peace and Wisdom. The Light of Truth is Love Himself interceding on behalf of parched and dying children who pet and protect the evil that’s sucking them dry.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
John 8:36 NKJV
What simplicity to know and remember that when there is chaos it is because there is a mixture of light and dark, lies and truths. That cuts through a lot of the struggle and confusion of trying to figure and fix.
“Separation hurts. It can be intensely painful, because it really is the death-throes of the enemy. The flesh is screaming because its being crucified. At the very least the Truth will separate us from our delusions – about —–ourselves, about others, and GOD .” AMEN AND AMEN BLESS YOU FOR revealing THE TRUTH and for
including Martha’s teaching, truly living water!!!!!
Wow. Amen…
