Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10 AMPC
It’s Election Day 2016, and we have a prayer for all of us in the Body of Christ. May we all as one “let be and be still and KNOW (recognize and understand) that” God is GOD—and there is no other.
Election Day 2016 – Our God is Sovereign
Whatever the outcome of today’s election, God is on the throne. Whether we cheer for the winner or weep, God is sovereign. If all hell breaks loose and chaos appears to rule, we will KNOW the truth: God is GOD.
The invitations to fear will be flying through the air like a murder of crows. Great will be the demand to look down when we are called to look up. Rumors and innuendo will dog-pile truth in the hope that we can’t see it. But Psalm 46:10 is triumphant! It is God speaking as GOD. “I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!” May the Body of Christ be so firmly rooted in KNOWING the indisputable sovereign goodness of God that the fruit of the Spirit marks every place we walk today.
Election Day 2016 – God Will Have His Way
There is no chance, none at all, that God’s will can be thwarted in appointing the authorities over the nations. As sovereign God, His Hand is behind and above every ruler, big or small. And every ruler will serve His purpose, one way or another.
So today we let go of the madness and scurry. We breathe deeply and carry the stillness of Jesus Christ’s own faith as we move through the day. And Lord, may we be ignited with the fearless LOVE that accompanies truly knowing that YOU ARE GOD—and there is no other. Amen (So be it)!
Is anything impossible for the Lord?
Genesis 18:14a HCSB
He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He has set the world upon them.”
1 Samuel 2:8 NKJV
May we fix our eyes on You, Jesus!
Thank you. Love to you all
In the midst of all of the emails I’ve received concerning this election, this is the most sensible. No hype no sensationalism, just the Word. Amen and thank you!
Joy!
