Living in My Yes Not No

Print

The Lord created us all to dwell in the unique position of being a YES rather than a NO. And if I bow to His design of me, then potentiality and possibilities explode.

Yes, Yes, Yes not No

Yes Yes Yes not No
Increase, expanse, and growth fill The Kingdom. From glory to glory it is exponentially expanding. For the heavens are full of positives, YES’s rather than NO’s. And we have the choice to join our Maker in His YES over us. He formed and fashioned us in our mother’s womb. He joyfully resounding wove us together with YES. Our life’s power will always be within our YES to God. This is our way into the Kingdom, a path full of YES’s to God.

Religion teaches us a long list of NO’s, yet there is no life there. We are taught to barricade ourselves within a plethora of NO’s in an attempt to become holy. NO to temptation, NO to self, NO to sin, NO to evil desires, and NO to the devil. Yet I’m created to live by YES. My very make-up is shaped for YES, not NO, and to structure my life according to a NO will leave me destitute. We can’t live in the power of NO.

For the Son of God, Christ Jesus (the Messiah)…
was not Yes and No; but in Him it is [always the divine] Yes.
2 Cor. 1:19 AMP

Jesus is Yes not No

Jesus is Yes not No
Jesus lived as a YES to God. Even His resistance of Satan in the wilderness was more a statement of His YES to God than His NO to the devil. His refusal of the temptation was a byproduct of His YES to God. Satan’s questioning assault was met with an affirmative statement of His YES to God—it wasn’t an “I will not” but an “I will what God wills, as it is written.”

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!
And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory.
2 Cor. 1:20 NLT

A choice has to first be a YES, and then as a result, your NO will fall in line. God has created us in and for YES. He breathed Life into us and that breath was His YES, and not His NO. We, as His creations, bear His mark – YES. Everything is YES and “amen,” not NO and “I won’t.” Life is plus not minus, multiplication not division.

I am His YES. You are His YES. He, who is the Great YES, has created us. Every fiber of our being is YES and YES holds us together. His very breath, giving us life, is a Divine YES. His every thought of us is YES. So in response, I say a decisive YES not no!

YES and AMEN John,

The Law could not, cannot, save because it is NO. NO has us looking at ourselves. YES has us looking at Jesus. The Law is however good because it exposes our need and brings us to Jesus Christ, The Yes and Amen.

Where do you get this stuff, John?! (I know it’s His breath, but ohhhhh — this is so much to take in); sounds simple . . . just have to ask Him to keep this before me. You know, John, a lot of times I read explosives like this but forget about it the next day (nothing personal). This, I’m printing but not just to meditate on for myself; giving it out, as well. Don’t we all wish we knew this years ago?

Sooooo many encouragements in this writing…so many powerful and profound truths and declarations of ‘more’, not ‘less’…”Life is plus not minus, multiplication not division” Thank you John for all of your ‘Yesses’….(and thanks for being there for one of my biggest ‘Yesses’ to Him ever!!! July 12th about 9 in the morning!) Love to you all!!!

The Lord keeps showing me that to be indecisive is to say no to Him, others…in Him there is only Yes or No, there is not a third choice…so I totally agree Yes Sir to HIM, Jesus Christ is Lord. Blessings.

It’s so true that religion gives us a long list of ‘no’s. What came to mind was, in contrast, different oaths that are taken all have positive questions, affirmative responses . . . wedding vows: “Do you…take…? *will* you love, honor and cherish . . . ?” “I *do*.”
Even the presidential oath of office: “I *will* faithfully execute . . . and *will*….preserve, protect and defend . . . ” This has been a great Truth that you’ve presented over the past few posts — thank you, John.

Interesting, it rings true. I have struggled with eating ice cream before bed off and on for a long time. Once I asked God’s perspective instead of my usual justifications etc. He simply said, “it is an idol, you can choose it or Me” YIKES! I teared up and said, “Yes, Lord I choose YOU” He made it plain. Now my choice (and others to forsake temptation) is not centered around a NO, I cannot have that but a “YES, Lord I choose You. I desire You more…” I cannot say that the reward is immediate to the flesh but… Read more »

There are only 2 choices: yes or no; narrow way or broad way; Life or death. The enemy confuses the issue by offering his “multiple choice”, his “maybe”. Your article has presented me with new perspective on Jesus’ command in Matthew 5:37 to let your yes be yes and your no be no, anything more than that is evil.

ABSOLUTELY!!! This is it and why anything more is evil. Bless you Irene!
