Speaking God’s Word in His Ear

Print

I am floored at the power of prayer, specifically prayers for other people. I can proclaim back to God His thoughts of someone, to counterbalance the enemy’s assault of accusation in His ears.  In prayer, we can speak back to God His own thoughts about another.  When we recite the mind of the Heavenly Father back into His very ears, oh! what a ministry.

God has such great and mighty thoughts towards us. Yet the enemy attempts to dissuade Him with slander. The voice of Satan accuses us to God and unfortunately, God’s children often join in that banter. But what I’m seeing is the power evidenced in standing prayers that actually proclaim God’s own thoughts. We can literally speak back His thoughts about His children as He shares them with us.

It is so healing!  It ministers to the great Father-heart of God.  It touches Him deeply when we stand in agreement with Him. It’s a soothing balm to His heart. What father doesn’t enjoy someone doting over his children? And using His own thoughts? Whoa!

It’s also a ministry to the one for whom we pray.  We’re covering them with a blanket of God’s Love and building them up.  These prayers stand to shield their backs.  It’s falling out of agreement with the aggressive attack intended to discourage and derail their lives. Satan is crafty, but I can stand proclaiming God’s words to counter the lie.

As an added benefit, my prayer is a ministry to my God and to myself, because I’m entering into fellowship with the Father. I’m uniting my thoughts with His thoughts and upholding His purposes for someone else. God and I get to enjoy His handy work and speak intimately about it all. It’s such Love.  Everyone wins in this interaction. All that it takes is Love and listening to the voice of the Spirit concerning His precious child.

I’ve been praying like this recently and am amazed at the Life flow emanating from me.  I come to celebrate my brother or my sister and I do it within the very ears of their Beloved.  I tell Him what He’s told me and delight in His truth.  It’s rejoicing in the work God has done and is doing.  I tell Him and take joy in the telling.  It’s an intimacy with Him and with my brother or sister, which edifies God, them and myself.  I’m being a vessel of the Lord’s own mind.  I carry His thoughts actively as a sense of worship and warfare.  I’m combating the adversary’s words – maybe even the false faith of the person – and affirming the Father’s own mind. Imagine! I can disallow the assault and affirm the victory.

As I related this to a good friend of mine, he reminded me about the message Martha delivered called the “Turban of Blue” in the Bride is Ready audio series.  Oh my, in it she tells of Zechariah standing for Joshua in exactly the same way as I am relating.  The point I’m making is made exactly.  Satan was standing there, accusing Joshua at God’s right hand.  Yep, right in His ear, the stinker! And God stood in His reality while Zechariah proclaimed in agreement to see God’s truth realized.  It just blew me away.

Then the angel showed me Joshua [This is not Moses’ Joshua] the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord [This Angel is a Christophany] The Accuser, Satan, was there at the Angel’s right hand, making accusations against Joshua. And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.” Joshua’s clothing was filthy as he stood there before the Angel. So the Angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Joshua he said, “See, I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes.” Then I said [This is Zechariah speaking], “They should also place a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean priestly turban on his head and dressed him in new clothes while the Angel of the Lord stood by.
Zechariah 3:1-5 NLT

Zechariah was standing for the mind of God to be formed in Joshua.  He stood for God’s thoughts and truth to be made evident in Joshua’s life! This is the power I can have in standing for my brother and sister to come into their full stature and knowledge of Christ. It sends me to my knees.

• I highly recommend The Bride is Ready series; the revealed truths are paramount in how to be prepared as the Bride of Christ to meet your own Beloved!

Thank you John.
There have oft been times while led to pray I had no words of prayer and just simply bowed and praised Him for the one He gives. You have inspired me to not only bow and praise but to wait…to wait upon Him to reveal HIS words of prayer. I am continually in awe of the newness of ALL things in Him.
Bless you.

Yep. The sword of the Spirit in Eph. 6 is the rhemas of God. As I listen to God’s heart and pray it with Him the kingdom of God comes to earth. The will of God manifests on earth in those precious ones we pray for.

Once upon a time, I thought (analyzed, judged for myself)the insight God gave me about other people was for my benefit. This past year our Faithful and True Redeemer has given me an incredible glimpse of what the insight is really for: prayer on behalf of others. I’m not sure where, but somewhere in the Old Test., God Himself ‘marvels’ that there was none to stand in the gap. Are we called to lay down our lives (time, freedom, profitability) and pray His will be done? ‘Pray without ceasing’

“Agreeing with God’s Heart and the Joy of Answered Prayer. Prayer that is inspired by communion with the Holy Spirit – John 15:7. The Holy Spirit releases authority on the prayers that come from God’s heart – John 16: 23,24” and “Biblical Prayers Using God’s Language. Using actual prayer and worship texts from the Scriptures, which reveal God’s heart and have a positive focus. This helps bring unity of prayer focus –Colossians 3:16 . . .” These are just 2 of the “Values” expressed in “The Mercy House of Prayer” in Vienna that have been with me for several years.… Read more »

“All that it takes is Love and listening to the voice of the Spirit concerning His precious child.” In that one short sentence John, you have summarized the Christian’s walk.
