John 17:21

“that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”
John 17:21

There are moments in time that God reveals mysteries deep and unknown.  He opens up His Heart for the purpose of showing us things about Himself. The other morning I had one such moment.  I had such a seeing, and as I related it to Jennifer, all I could do was blubber.

I now know what Church is! I have the purpose of Church.  Church is the Father loving the Son and the Son loving the Father in our own bodies.  “That they will all be one, just as You and I are one.”

You know, the blessing of my finger being juiced off has been so amazing—addition not subtraction.  During that episode, I saw that the Son of God came into a dark, worship-less place of my heart and became worship of the Father.  (Again, if you would like me to send you that testimony, given at the Reign of the Kingdom conference, please let me know and I will send it to you.) In that message, I described how the Son of the Living God took residence and ownership of a place of bondage in my life.  I was fearful of death and illness, and Jesus entered that place and claimed it as His own. He did this by becoming one with the Father in that place and worshiping.

Well, today I want to expand that as the Spirit has revealed it to me.  It was one thing to have this mystery performed within my frame, but now I believe it actually goes beyond that to include Church.  Yes, He showed me that this same interaction is supposed to be transpiring in His Church.  And not only just occurring in His Church, but this actually IS true Church!  Church is when the Father and the Son are one within the members of His Body, actual fellowship of the Godhead between individual members of His Body. THIS is true unity and union. It’s a circular living flow of fellowship and perfect agreement of the Godhead. It’s LOVE and WORSHIP!

I agree to be indwelt by the love of the Father, and when I let Him love Christ in you, my brother and sister, and you receive it as the love of the Father for the Son, then we are one!  In simple terms, Father-God is loving Christ in you, and Jesus is responding to the Father’s love and loving Him in return. This is the embodiment of John 17:21.

This worship wasn’t for me nor was it about me, but it completely included me.”

Oneness is literally Christ and the Father being one in our bodies.  It isn’t agreement, proximity, corporate unity—no, it is oneness in HIM.  Church is when we are made one in the oneness of Christ and the Father.   Unhindered fellowship between the Godhead makes you and I…Church.   Then you and I are connected with a bond that is so much higher than mere human connection.  Our love becomes so much more radiant than frail, fickle human love.  It becomes a tidal wave of Lordship, ownership, headship, union, and intimacy.

Imagine, I can literally be a vessel the Father uses to commune with His Son, and then we – His Body – can be the walking expression of Their union. And as it says in John 17:21, then the world will know that the Father sent the Son.  You see, true evangelism is being an indwelt vessel of the union of the Father and Son.  WOW!
