I wanted to write about the power of coaching and the profound perspective shift that it brings. In our lives, we often find ourselves seeking advice, looking for quick fixes, and outsourcing our decisions to others, much like the story of Moses and the Israelites. (Exodus 20:18-21)
The children of Israel wanted Moses to go and meet with their scary God for them, and they relegated themselves to simply following. This robbed them of the opportunity to have their own relationship with their Great Father. Coaching is not like that. It offers a unique and transformative alternative to discovering and connecting with the Life God gave you.
Coaching isn’t about finding someone to fix your problems or provide you with a ready-made solution. It’s about partnering with someone who becomes your thought partner on your journey. It’s about unburdening your heart, discussing your situations, and, most importantly, discovering your own answers.
The Power of a Thought Partner
When you work with a coach, you gain a trusted ally who doesn’t just listen to speak but listens to hear. They ask curiosity-driven questions that guide you toward your own insights. In essence, they empower you to discover your own path in Christ.
The magic of coaching lies in the empowerment it offers. You’re not handed advice; instead, you’re given the tools to uncover your own solutions. This focus on your journey, your life, and your path leaves you buzzing with newfound energy and clarity.
I recently experienced this firsthand while writing my new book, “His Will Alone.” I turned to my coach with a need to understand certain aspects of the book. Through our discussions, I found the answers and had someone to hold me accountable—a powerful combination that can work wonders in various aspects of life.
Why Do You Need a Coach?
So, why might you need a coach in your life? Having a thought partner who stands beside you, someone to check back in with you to see your on track, and strategically helps you navigate your challenges can be incredibly transformative. It’s like having a passenger on your tandem bike giving extra power to make it on your journey.
If you’re intrigued by the idea of having a thought partner who helps you seek, find, and discover your unique path while overcoming hurdles, I invite you to reach out. Let’s have a conversation about coaching and how it could potentially transform your life.
Remember, coaching isn’t about someone else having all the answers; it’s about you finding them within yourself, with a dedicated companion by your side. I look forward to talking with you about the incredible possibilities that coaching can bring to your life.
