I mentioned on a recent podcast that I wondered if the Lord’s coming will be HIM riding on a horse, not us with Him but us in Him. Let me explain. Because we are Christ’s body, I saw that the likelihood of us being a posse of individuals riding with Him is less likely. I believe I have seen we will come as ONE! Sure, heaven’s armies will be with Him, but I am not part of heaven’s armies, I am His body. Oh this was so exciting to me! Christ is glorified in His coming and we who are in His Will (see Matthew 12:50), will be caught up in Him. Just WOW! It will be the ultimate expression of no longer I but Christ found in Galatians 2:20.
“My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of His cross crucified me with Him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives His life through me— we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that He gave Himself for me, and dispenses His life into mine!”
Galatians 2:20 TPT
Being In Him
While residing on this earth our Savior lives in us. But looking at when we are caught up to Him in the sky (see 1 Thessalonians 4:17), we will be subsumed into Him and come with Him, as His body. Wow!
The shockwaves of those words I spoke in the podcast caused one person to comment on Facebook that essentially I may be spiritual but there was no way the love of God or truth could be in me because I had to be a false prophet. Ouch! But my receiving revelatory knowledge from the Spirit about His Word is not deviating or twisting scripture to my will, on the contrary, it is being submitted to Him and His voice.
I asked the Lord to confirm what I saw. Faithfully, the Lord so sweetly brought some confirmation through Joan. Unprompted, after hearing the podcast, she excitedly texted me a scripture the Lord had given her about what I said. Here it is:
“And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps. 8:6.] Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].”
Ephesians 1:22-23 AMPC
Again, so exciting! We have been speaking on the podcast about the reality of Christ as Head. It seems He is declaring His headship and revealing Himself as Lord everywhere. Boy, is this needful today! While things feel like they are a menacing chaotic mess, Jesus Christ is Lord! Bar any situation or circumstance we face, Jesus is Lord. Regardless of the drone of evil reports, Christ is Lord. I personally need to know His Lordship over my life and His headship in my world. And the Good News is we are in Him now and He is in us proclaiming His glorious Lordship. Truly, Christ is all there is, both now and in eternity.
